About the event

Indie Improv Night | Epic Sci-Fi Party Show

It's Isaac's birthday and what better way than to bring together the nerdiest and most epic improv sets together for an Epic Sci-Fi Party Show. Featuring veteran teams, brand new groups, and a few genre-specific surprises, the Epic Sci-Fi Party Show will be one of the ages.

Line-up:

The Vasty Deep

Featuring Isaac Simon and Mimi van Amerongen (and guests!)

Born out of a love of silly dumb make-em-ups, the Vasty Deep is one of the goofiest improv duos you'll ever see. They'll be doing an extra nerdy set (not Jewish Harry Potter, they already did that) with maybe a surprise or several.

De Stuurlui (The Helmsmen) bring fast-paced impro, clever wordplay and completely unnecessary violence. In each scene, the weird becomes normal, the normal becomes weird, and often enough everything becomes just plain weird. Despite the very different styles of humor of our players, they are perfectly in tune ready for experiments and surprising twists.

Dinner at 5

Featuring Eniko Varga, Gijs Stuurman, Tanine, Soa Rjersn, Abel Erwteman, Mark Hoover, Joana Vinodograff

This brand new group of all-stars will be making their debut right here at Indie Improv Night. Comprised of players from all walks of Amsterdam improv life, they'll be performing a signature single location show (though it's improv, so who knows what'll happen!)!

The Stars Uncountable

Featuring Ashley Moore and Isaac Simon

Remember that scene in Clerks where Randall is asking Dante about the moral implications of destroying the Death Star while a bunch of independent contracts is still aboard? Inspired by that movie moment, and by countless science fiction epics like Star Wars, Dune, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, and so many more, we'll be taking that idea one step further and exploring the lives of those regular galactic folks who never get the credit they deserve.
